Skyscanner.com is a site I had never heard of until a friend said she uses it a lot to find cheap flights.  She told me it was Skyscanner.net, but when I searched for it, it took me to Skyscanner.com.

I just did a search for a flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco in August.  The best part was I was able to search for the entire month of August to see the different prices throughout the month.  Since my trip is flexible, this is a nice feature.

What I wasn't too happy about was that I don't think I could do a search three days before and three days after a specific date.  My trip is pretty flexible, but there is a show out there on August 19th that I would like to plan my trip around.

The flight prices I found on Skyscanner.com were comparable to other prices on other sites such as Kayak, but I did find a few lower prices because I was able to search the entire month.  I'm not sure why airlines have lower prices at different times of the month for the same flights, but they do.

Anyway, I was happy with the site and since I found out about it through a recommendation from a friend, I thought I would pass along the recommendation by posting this here.
